Fashion-ton

September 2nd, 2010

Bellevue, Washington showed their fashion chops at a fabulous event this week for Bellevue Collection with Report. Some 300 high-profile ladies from the Bellevue area attended a gala show and party which was filled with the best fashions from the state of Washington. NeuroBliss, which goes hand in hand with fashion s that make you smile helped the good-looking crowd stay hydrated and refreshed. As the crowd mixed and mingles and ogled the designs, they sipped NeuroBliss and afterwards, were directed to their local QFC to replenish their own closest with Neuro!

Happy Birthday Rachel Zoe

September 1st, 2010

Every fan of Rachel Zoe (and really, who isn’t?) always talks about her “moments” as those when her clients looked amazing on the red carpet. On the fashionista’s birthday, we decided to pull together our favorite Rachel Zoe moments OFF the red carpet – Rachel and co. being, Zoe-ilicious.

  • Her simple but powerful statement:  Be glamorous. Everyday.  The Zoe Report www.rachelzoe.com
  • Her husband, Roger, giving Rachel her own “Rachel Barbie Doll” AND Kiki DiMontparnasse for her birthday.
  • Brad Goreski meeting Donatella Versace.
  • Neuro making a fabulous cameo on Rachel’s kitchen counter.  (We know how this fashionista juggles work & home and looks glam doing it!)
  • The idea (originating at the Milan vintage shop) of a faux fur jacket with detachable sleeves that becomes a vest.

We could go on and on! If you aren’t watching this Bravo must-see, start next Tuesday. Zoe and co. make fashion even more well, fashionable.

Ladies Night

September 1st, 2010

It was all about the women of Tucson this past weekend as local boutique owner Julie Penny held a Slumber Party filled with all things women love. The slumber party featured local vendors from the arenas of beauty and fashion in an all night party for gals 16 to 35 years old in the community. Some 500 women showed up at the Westin Hotel to sample various products, discuss local goings-on and of course, drink lots of Neuro! Local radio station KIIM brought the party together and NeuroSonic kept everyone focused on fun throughout the evening!

Step to It

August 31st, 2010

The Grand Opening of Dance Studio 111 in Phoenix, Arizona is the place to be for young girls active in the dance community. Would-be dancers, 18 and under attended the grand opening celebration with their parents to get a sense of the offerings which include everything from salsa and tap to ballet and jazz. Neuro Drinks was on hand to take part in this great addition to the neighborhood providing NeuroAqua and NeuroSport to keep the budding dance stars hydrated and replenished all afternoon. Neuro was such a hit at the event, that attendees rushed over to the 7-11 across the street to stock up for the coming school year on all Neuro beverages! We have our eye on some of these young girls, expecting great things from them in the world of dance!

Music Videos of the Future

August 30th, 2010

The buzz around the internet this week centers on Arcade Fire, a band that has been around since 2004. Called a new gold standard in music videos, the indie band’s latest video, written and directed by Chris Milk and dubbed The Wilderness Downtown, breaks new barriers for user interaction. You surf to The Wilderness Downtown page using Google Chrome, and when prompted, type in the address of your childhood home and watch it become incorporated into a short film.  We tried this and were amazed at how, working with Google Maps, this song incorporates the street where you lived, making you connected with the song in a completely new and unique way. The song, We Used to Wait, off the album The Suburbs is worth a listen even without the nostalgia. The story of childhood ending as time rapidly slips away becomes your own as trees shoot up out of nowhere on your old street, culminating in an opportunity to write a letter to a younger you. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Emmy’s Best Moments

August 30th, 2010

With Neuro Madtinis in hand (we hope), did you watch last night’s Emmys?  Were you surprised? Disappointed? Couldn’t care less? Here are our favorite moments from last night’s show. We’d love to know what you think!

· Jane Lynch after winning Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy to cast of Glee: “You’re young and you’re wonderful and fresh-faced and, when I am not seething with jealousy, I love you.”

· Jimmy Fallon singing tributes to shows we lost this year: “24” as Elton John, “Law & Order” as Boyz II Men and “Lost” as Green Day.

· Ricky Gervais serving beer to the audience and commenting about Russell Crowe, Mel Gibson and other actors who’ve been in trouble for public drinking – in his two minutes onstage, he stole the show.

· Temple Grandin, the real-life inspiration for the HBO original movie that picked up many Emmys, bring in the audience, onstage and it was her birthday.

· Betty White teaching Jon Hamm sexy dance moves in the opening sketch. “Back that mother up!”

Advantage, Neuro

August 26th, 2010

For you tennis fans out there, The U.S. Open, starts August 30th and the “Final Grand Slam” will be the biggest event in town. This year’s tourney promises to be a very interesting event  –  played over two weeks and with best-of-five set matches. Most say Number 1 seed Rafael Nadal is the one to beat, but Andy Roddick really needs it this year. There are those in Roger Federer’s camp, citing his mental toughness as his advantage. Then there’s newcomer American Mardy Fish, who is having his best year yet. In the women’s match-ups, No. 1 seed Caroline Wozniacki plays Chelsey Gullickson, while defending champion Kim Clijsters will play Greta Arn. No 3 seed Venus Williams comes up against Roberta Vinci as her sister, Serena, sits this year out due to an injury. Tennis is such a great game because you never know what can happen. One thing we do know, Neuro Drinks goes hand in hand with a great tennis game.  Where you’re serving up NeuroSonic to increase your mental focus (and get your head in the game!) or NeuroSport to replenish after a vigorous workout – Neuro Drinks match up well with this great game. And of course, for those in the stands, NeuroBliss will help ease the anxiety of a nail-bitingly close match!

Foodies Take to The Streets

August 26th, 2010

From the city that gave us Wolfgang Puck, is it any real surprise that LA has spawned another culinary craze? Yep, we’re talking about LA food trucks – the phenomenon so popular it just got its own show on the Food Network  – The Great Food Truck Race.  We are constantly surprised by the variety and plethora of food trucks hitting the City of Angels.  Some of the highlights below (paired with Neuro Drinks, of course!)

The Grilled Cheese Truck – Such gourmet delights as melted pepper jack cheese, smoked tomatoes, adobo chicken and arugula – this is not your mother’s grilled cheese sandwich.  Since grilled cheese is pure happiness, drink with NeuroBliss.

The Little Frenchie—Featuring full-bodied flavors from fresh ingredients picked at their peak, this mobile French café serves up delicious French cuisine at prices sure to please. J’adore French food with NeuroGasm.

Granny’s Hot Peppa Steppa.  The name alone is enough to get us hooked.  The “Organic Jamaican Superfood” keeps us coming back. Jerk chicken, Italian Stew, all kinds of patties and vegan choices.  This stuff is healthy and spicy. Drink with NeuroAqua.  Lots of it.

Great Balls On Tires, or G-BOT for short serves meatballs and other savory balls of food.  Why meatballs? Because they are a universal food and the owners traveled the world to bring back the best of the balls.  They are definitely great balls! Drink with NeuroSonic.

The Shrimp Guys  This down-home crew brings the taste of island style shrimp and that hang loose vibe that is Hawaii, right here to SoCal. This is such a healthy choice, we pair it with NeuroTrim.

Coolhaus   An architecturally-themed ice cream sandwich that tastes better than anything you ever dreamed?  That’s Coolhaus, the first project by Farchitecture, bringing gourmet, artisan and all-natural ice cream sandwiches in customizable edible wrappers to Los Angelenos.  Since this is dessert, follow up with NeuroSleep.
