The Joyful Heart Foundation and Neuro came together last weekend to give back to the community. More than 100 volunteers, including actresses Mariska Hargitay, Debra Messing, Kim Raver, Sharon Lawrence and  Shohreh Aghdashloo joined survivors and supporters to assemble “healing and wellness kits” for victims of domestic violence. NeuroSonic kept celebrities and volunteers focused and dedicated as they created over 600 kits to be distributed to women in Los Angeles County’s domestic violence shelters. The kits were stocked with a variety of comfort-driven items, designed to meet the immediate needs of women in shelters but moreover to inspire them with a sense of joy, happiness and possibility. These kits offered more than just a support and a ray of hope to victims; they raised awareness about the need for domestic violence support services throughout California, and shed light on the recent cuts in social services. Spreading joy was an obvious connection for NeuroBliss, which found a special place in the comfort kits and among the supporters who gathered for this worthy cause.
