Bel Air is a community in LA best known for palatial mansions and homes of movie stars but hidden behind the glitz and glamour is a budding and wildly creative independent film community. The Bel Air Film Festival kicked off on Friday the 13th with a series of fiercely original films spanning the emotional gamut. Audiences enjoyed NeuroBliss and laughed along with Adam Corolla in Head, Heart and Balls, a comedy following an aspiring musician in his tumultuous journey to Woodstock. After The Diet Life, a dark comedy following an ‘overweight’ supermodel that drags her personal trainer into her life of sex, drugs and beautiful people, fans downed NeuroTrims to get their own little bit of glamour. NeuroSonic kept everyone focused so they could keep up with all the manic craziness in the life of Larry Linkogle, “dirt bike legend”, as he tries to stay sober in Mind of the Demon. The Festival continues through Tuesday night and there are still lots of amazing films to see, check out thebelairfestival.com for times and tickets.
