With the LA Auto Show quickly approaching, the world is looking to see the newest iterations of the electric and hybrid cars that are quickly taking over the streets. Hybrid and electric engines are revolutionizing the auto market with increasingly efficient and greener engines that boast MPG ratings unheard of among standard gas engines. You will need a NeuroSonic to keep up with this powder keg of a car that goes from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. This amazing car does carry a rather hefty price tag with an estimated retail of $109,000.
Smart Car – This ultra-compact boasts an electric engine and a three cylinder turbo diesel engine that combined offer up to 60 MPG. The super cute Smart Car may lack in storage space but it more than makes up for it in maneuverability and parking. You can fit this car anywhere! The Smart Car retails at $17,000 and is incredibly quiet with an easy ride that feels more like floating along then driving.
Lexus RX – With the RX450H, the first luxury hybrid SUV, SUVs are finally not synonymous with gas guzzling and cloud of smog. This spacious SUV combines a powerful engine and the class associated with Lexus with efficiency and low emissions. The combination, starting at $43,000, is the perfect vehicle for everything from dropping off the kids at soccer practice to driving to the country club for a round of golf.
Ford Fusion Hybrid – The new Fusion Hybrid is America’s answer to the Japanese hybrid with a stylish and fuel efficient vehicle. Starting at $27,000 and boasting 41/36 MPG, the Fusion dominates the mid sized market. The Fusion’s peppy engine accelerates as fast if not fast than all of its non-hybrid competitors making it a fun and green choice.
