The Westwood landmark W Hotel has transformed their WET bar and Backyard Restaurant into a Winter Wonderland featuring an outdoor hybrid ice skating rink, appropriately named CHILL. Here you can indulge in NeuroCocktails such as a Gasmopolitans and Blisstinis. Be careful of overindulging before you hit the rink!!!
ICE on 5th and Arizona in Santa Monica, close to the 3rd Street Promenade, is open through the end of January, providing a welcome respite to the stress of holiday shopping. $10 includes skate rentals. Ocean breezes, free.
Downtown on Ice at Pershing Square – The most popular winter destination for Angelenos in its third year, features skating in the midst of palm trees with free live jazz, swing, or country concerts everyday!
Down in beautiful King Harbor of Redondo Beach, Seaside Ice transforms the Seaside Lagoon’s scenic beach area into a holiday wonderland including skating sessions, live music, DJ’s, films, exhibitions, special events and parties. The combo of ice and ocean sunsets makes for a unique holiday outing and bikini-clad skaters will have you saying “only in LA”.
At Holiday Ice at LA Live in the Nokia Plaza the LA Kings often stop by this 70 by 50 feet arena, but it’s the popular Skate with Santa (Monday to Friday, 6-7pm and Saturday and Sunday, 4-5pm and 6-7pm) that may be the biggest VIP on the ice. Down a NeuroSport and see if you can keep up!
